2014 New England Black Belt Camp and Dan Shim Sa

For the second consecutive year, the New England Regional Black Belt Camp was held at the picturesque campus of Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, over the weekend of May 30th to June 1st. The College was founded in 1885 and is the birthplace of both Basketball and Volleyball. The campus, steeped in history and tradition, made the perfect setting for a weekend of Tang Soo Do learning.

On the weekend of April 25th – 26th, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its spring cycle Dan Shim Sa (Black Belt test) and review, as well as its annual championships in Trussville, Alabama. As always, it was a great opportunity to renew friendships, test ourselves and strengthen our Tang Soo spirit.

"Tang Soo Do Rocks the South Plains"

“Tang Soo!” was heard shouted across the South Plains the weekend of November 15, 2013. The weekend began with a Dan Shim Sa (Black Belt Test) and followed by the 1^st ever Southwestern Regional Championships, a grand reopening of the recently expanded regional school West Texas Karate, a Leadership Seminar, a Certified Instructor Training (CIT) examination, and an instructor clinic. All events were hosted by West Texas Karate in Lubbock, Texas. The events were complemented by Lubbock hospitality to the many visiting students, instructors, school owners, masters, and of course Grandmaster John St. James.

2013 APTSDF Southeastern Regional Black Belt Camp

The Southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its annual Instructor’s Symposium and Black Belt Camp on the weekend of November 1 – 3, 2013. Everything was held once again at Camp ASCCA in Jackson’s Gap, AL. The Instructor Training Symposium (ITS) & Camp started on Friday morning November 1st at 9am. We had over 170 Masters, instructors, and instructor trainees coming together for the weekend to learn, grow, and share.

As always, it was a great opportunity to renew friendships, test ourselves and strengthen our Tang Soo spirit.

2012 Southeast Black Belt Camp

The Southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its second annual Instructor’s Symposium on Friday, November 2^nd & its 10^th annual Black Belt Camp on the weekend of November 2 – 4, 2012. Everything was held once again at Camp ASCCA in Jackson’s Gap, AL. The Instructor Training Symposium (ITS) & Camp started on Friday morning November 2^nd at 9 am with approximately 175 Masters, instructors, and instructor trainees coming together to learn, grow, and share.

2011 New England Regional Championships

The APTSDF held its Regional Championship Tournament on October 15, 2011 in Dover, NH, hosted by Great Bay Tang Soo Do. There were 80 competitors representing four schools. Besides Great Bay, students came from Southbury Academy of Karate and Rivera's Tang Soo Do in Connecticut, and Cambridge Tang Soo Do in Boston. The Black Belt portion of the tournament took place Saturday morning. The female championship trophy went to Noelle Drewicz, and the male trophy went to Oleg Khodko, both from Cambridge Tang Soo Do.

2010 New England Regional Blackbelt Camp & Dan Shim Sa

The 2010 Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation New England Black Belt Camp and Regional Dan Shim Sa took place over the May 21st-23rd weekend. This was the 4th annual event of its kind in the New England region. The setting was YMCA Camp Woodstock in the Northeastern hills of Connecticut, where the picturesque background set the stage for a wonderful and productive time. Some 20 test candidates brought their skills and talents to the test center on Friday evening and performed admirably for the test panel.

On the weekend of April 23-25, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its annual championships and spring cycle black belt test. The event was hosted by Mr. Randall Leverett of Amory, Mississippi, who was also among those testing for Sam Dan on Friday, April 23. Both the test and the tournament took place at the Hope Church in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley.

2009 Southeast Regional Championships & Dan Shim Sa

On the weekend of October 23-25, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its fall cycle Dan Shim Sa (Black Belt test) and review, as well as its annual championships in Trussville, Alabama. Over 100 Black Belts and Cho Dan Bo (Black Belt Candidates) tested or reviewed at the Trussville Athletics Center on Friday night October 23rd. Two hundred (200) plus competitors gathered the next day, October 24^th at the same facility for the regional championships.
